Souls

$100.00

An abstract piece, vivid with shades of green, yellow and peach.

16” x 20”

Obviously meaning and beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but allow me for a moment to walk you through the artist’s vision.

“I named this piece souls as it depicts illuminescent spirits standing apart from the chaos that surrounds us within our physical existence. Shining through the shadows, finding one another like magnets. You’ll also notice the silhouettes of two larger beings laying their heads together in an embrace-like position, which actually happened by complete (yet happy) accident. Almost like the piece brought itself to life within the way it evolved, from start to finish.

Sometimes when I start a piece, I have a completely separate vision in mind than what it ends up being. This was no exception. Originally, set out to be another abstract geometric interpretation of light, I had to take pause half way through and realize that it was already complete. The painting had stood out at this point with shocking definitive meaning, as I gazed at the layered complexity of longing, vibrance and connectivity - I saw within it a reflection of my own soul. Thus completing something that I could have never imagined prior to starting.

I hope when you look into this piece, it speaks to you as well- and possibly paints you a completely different story. “
